Join Kelsie Thomas, provisional trainer, to prepare for birth together with the Spinning Babies® Parent Class at Transitions: Doula & Life Services in Sioux Falls.

Pregnancy changes your body in incredible ways, but it can also bring tension, discomfort, and questions about how to help your baby find their way into the world. The Spinning Babies® approach explores the relationship between your body, your baby's position, and the space available for movement during pregnancy and birth.

In this three hour, hands-on, in-person class, you'll explore practical movements, positions, and partner-assisted techniques designed to support comfort and help you prepare for labor. You'll learn ways to work with your body, practice techniques with your birth partner, and build a collection of tools you can use as you approach birth.


Learn Together, Prepare Together

This class is designed for expectant parents who want to take an active role in preparing for birth. No previous experience with these techniques is needed.

Whether you're preparing for your first baby or adding to what you've learned through a previous birth, you'll have an opportunity to practice together, ask questions, and explore additional ways to support comfort and movement throughout labor.


When should I take this class?

We recommend taking the Spinning Babies® Parent Class after 20 weeks of pregnancy, ideally during the second or early third trimester. This gives you and your birth partner time to practice the techniques at home and become familiar with the movements and comfort measures before labor begins. Parents at later stages of pregnancy are welcome, too!
