What is the Empowered Series?
The Empowered Series is a way for you to curate your education experience for the childbearing year. It is different than any other birth or postpartum class in that the goal is getting you evidence-based, non-biased information so that you have the space to make decisions that are right for your family.
There are currently three experiences that make up the Empowered Series:
Empowered Birth
Empowered to Breastfeed
Empowered Postpartum.
You can choose to take them individually, or have all three as a complete series in preparation!
Empowered Birth
The Empowered Birth course is all about creating a childbirth class that fits your needs.
You will have the opportunity to choose which topics are meaningful to your experience planning, and hone in on what really matters to YOU.
You will also have one-on-one, private coaching with our educator, Renee Forred. Renee is a certified birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and lactation counselor with eight years of experience with birthing and postpartum families.
Classes are held virtually or in person in your home. (In home classes require a television with HDMI cable access)

Empowered to Breastfeed
A 90 minute class to get you started on the right foot and with confidence!
Students will learn about:
the physiology of lactation,
what to expect in the first hours/days/weeks/months of breastfeeding,
the answers to the most often asked breastfeeding questions.
Live classes are taught via Zoom at 7pm on the first Tuesday of the month. Students will receive a link to the Zoom meeting upon registration.

Empowered Postpartum
Imagine having a personalized postpartum planning consultation! Our postpartum doula will learn about your family and your previous experiences, and she will educate you on what to expect when you bring your new baby home.
You will receive a beautiful, 30 page planning booklet which you will use to make sureall the conversations are had and bases are covered before baby arrives!
Our postpartum doulas can walk through your home (in person or virtually) and help you plan how to most effectively and efficiently set up your space for a restful, healing, and peaceful postpartum.
