I had just returned to my social work job from maternity leave with my third child (and my only daughter). As I sat at my desk, staring at my never-ending caseload list, I had a thought…

I signed up for a DONA Birth Doula Training the very same day.

That baby girl is ten years old now.  I left my job that had burned me out.  It wasn't easy to start my own business, but here's the difference:  The work wasn't draining me… it was life-giving!
